Service Learning Projects 2015-2016

Team ASPCA 

March- April 2016

ISY works as a team to reach out to those in the surrounding community in order to raise awareness and receive donations. 

HANAC Compass P.S 212 and PS.2 collaborate with 

ISY Bake sale's in order to help fundraise. 

ISY takes a visit to the ASPCA Shelter in Uptown Manhattan.
 ISY meets and greets coordinator to hand over fundraised money and learn more about their everyday mission to end Animal Cruelty.  

Toys for Tots Campaign 2015

November- December

ISY works as a team to collect and gift wrap brand new toys through community outreach.

ISY visits Hanac Astoria Cornerstone; to participate in handing out gift-wrapped toys a few days before Christmas. 

Making Strides against Breast Cancer

September- November 2015

ISY takes the initiative at raising awareness and

advocating Breast Cancer Research through fundraising and Community outreach.

ISY takes part in the Breast Cancer walk hosted at
Flushing Meadow Park.

Our In-School Youth Council begins with a meeting to nominate candidates for the following roles.

Meetings are later concluded; Youth Council will be held every first Friday of the Month.  Youth Council works together to send out Monthly newsletters and Academic Calendars :)
